DHSS vluchten voor Van Oord richting Borssele windpark
Den Helder- DHSS is door Van Oord gecontracteerd voor het uitvoeren van helikopterdiensten ten behoeve van het offshore windpark Borssele III & IV. De vluchten voor Van Oord vinden plaats in de bouwfase van het windpark en zullen allen gevlogen worden vanaf Den Helder airport.
Het windpark Borselle III & IV is gelegen nabij de zuidelijke grens van de Nederlandse Exclusieve Economische Zone (EEZ), ongeveer 25 kilometer van de kust en 1 kilomter van de Belgische EEZ. Borselle wordt ontwikkeld door het consortium Blauwwind. Van Oord’s jack-up installatieschip Aeolus is onlangs gestart met de eerste bouwwerkzaamheden van de turbines. Het Borselle offshore windpark zal straks een totale capaciteit hebben van 931,5 megawatt met totaal 77 windturbines van 9,5 megawatt. Dit is voldoende stroom voor ongeveer 825.000 huishoudens.
DHSS is sinds 22 jaar gevestigd op Den Helder Airport en heeft zichzelf inmiddels bewezen als het gaat om werken in de offshore wind, op het gebied van helikopteractiviteiten. Naast de vluchten op Borselle is DHSS ook verantwoordelijk voor de helikopterdiensten voor het Deutsche Bucht windpark, waarbij wordt samengewerkt met Van Oord en MHI Vestas. Alle vluchten stijgen op dit moment op vanaf Den Helder airport, dat volledig is ingericht als A1 Offshore Energy helihaven.

Van Oord has selected DHSS as its contractor for helicopter services during the construction phase of Borssele III & IV offshore wind farm
Borssele III & IV offshore wind farm, located near the southern border of the Dutch Exclusive Economic zone (EEZ) and approximately 25 kilometer from shore and 1 kilometer from the Belgian EEZ, will be developed by the consortium Blauwwind. Van Oord’s installation vessel Aeolus has recently started its first work at the windfarm location. The Borssele windfarm will deliver 931,5 MW capacity when completely installed. This is enough power for approximately 825,000 households.
Van Oord, will execute the Balance of Plant, which among others, is consisting of the construction 77 monopile foundations and installation of the MHI Vestas 9.5 MW turbines.
DHSS, is based at Den Helder Airport for 22 years and has a demonstrated history of working in offshore related helicopter operations. The company also is the helicopter logistics provider for Wind farm Deutsche Bucht, where they are also working with Van Oord and MHI Vestas. Helicopter flights, chartered from DHSS, will take off from Den Helder Airport, which is completely utilized as an A1 Offshore Energy heliport and approved by the consortium.
